Here’s How You Can Help
We are looking for someone to work with us on Tuesdays 9:00 am to noon and Thursdays 2:00 pm to 4:oo pm at our location on Skinker Boulevard near Washington University. If you are fully vaccinated +”boosted” and interested in working with us please let us know via email.
Here are the tasks for which we need assistance
- read book request letters
- select books to send
- respond to request letters with a friendly note
- insert a subject list of books we provide
- prepare address labels for mailing out book packages
Have a limited amount of time? No worries. You can still help- just email us.
One Day – If you have a Saturday or Sunday to spare, organize a book drive on our behalf. This could include friends, neighbors, or a faith group, etc. Coordinate pick up or drop off with us.
One Afternoon a Month – Help us sort books into those that fit the needs of our readers and those that we can sell or donate to others.
Occasional Donation Pickups – Help us bring book donations from donors’ front porches to our office. Timing is negotiable and can be set with donors individually to find mutually agreeable time. Need to have car to transport books.
Full vaccination and booster when meeting for sorting and book wrapping is required to keep everyone safe.
